I"m Amy and a year ago I wouldn't have thought I'd find myself addicted to clay. I am a pediatric emergency physician at LeBonheur and have been working in the ED there for almost 30 years. I was doing some hand building stuff with a friend and then was introduced to Belltower. Since December I have been working hard learning techniques of the wheel and workings of the studio. I find this very relaxing, and at times frustrating. But the frustrations are simple, compared with the stresses at work. It has been a great outlet for me. I am married to the cross country coach at Rhodes College and we have 3 kids. It's a good thing I am an empty nester, because since I have started at Belltower, I don't cook and I spend hours at the studio, and my dog is really sad.
